Adult Inquirers' Class

The spring 2012 Adult Inquirers' Class will start January 22, 2012. This 16-week course is held on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. in the church basement. Snacks are served during a break around 5 o'clock. The course answers basic questions about the Christian faith. In it you'll study the nature of God, the person of Jesus Christ, sin, salvation, suffering, death, prayer, baptism, and much more. In your study you'll use the NIV Bible and will be provided with a workbook, "Above All Else". No memory work is required and you will not be asked to answer questions or read. Babysitting services are provided in Center Hall. The course is open to everyone. Over 1,840 people have taken this course.

BSA Venture Program

Trinity's LYF is partnering with the Boy Scouts of America to offer our youth enhanced opportunities to develop fellowship and friendship and to serve the church through the BSA Venture Program. The program is open to 9th graders through age 21, male and female. By partnering with the Venture Program, the LYF is hoping to increase its membership and grow its impact on the lives of the youth in our church. The organization and youth leadership of the Venture Crew will allow our youth to develop skills in leadership and service, while experiencing new and challenging activities (i.e., rappel, learn SCUBA, etc.). An organizational meeting will be held January 15, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the youth mobile. We hope parents will encourage their youth to attend. LYF and Venturing are two great programs helping our youth develop in Christ.

Since the 1930s, Lutheran Hour Ministries has worked to bring "Christ to the Nations - and the nations to the Church". The organization provide a variety of resources for all Christians. Ziegler 50th Anniversary

On Sunday, Aug. 23, Trinity Lutheran Church celebrated the 50th anniversary of the day it's senior pastor, the Rev. Robert M. Ziegler, was ordained into the ministry. The celebration also observed the 40 years Pastor Ziegler has served Trinity, Atchison. [Read more about the event]
